Project inception meeting of Promoting Gender Equality through Local Knowledge & People’s Initiative (PGELKPI) project has been held in Khokshabari union parishad hall room on 7 April’16 by USS, Nilphamari and supported by Diakonia. Project objectives is to reduce gender discrimination, financial capability increased of deprived people, accessibility increased of deprived people at local resource & service, perceived democratic cultures, values and played responsible role in family and society. The meeting was presided over by Md. Badiujjaman Prodhan, Chairman, Khokshabari Union Parishad. Omor faruk, Ganogabeshona & Training Coordinator USS, Nilphamari gave welcome speech in the event. Project Coordinator Monazzini khanam, PGELKPI, USS, Nilphamari presented the project description in the meeting. About 50 participants of several occupation including teachers, union parishad members, right holders of project, NGO personnel, union Health officer, Agriculture officers, family planning officers and civil society members were present at meeting.
