Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) has organized farmers field day and result sharing under Seeds of Survival (SoS) project on Green pea Supported by USC Canada at Palashbari Simantopara under Palashbari Union of Nilphamari district on 19th March’2018. Near about 200 right holders were present in the event. At first participants were visited the green pea field with guidance and facilitation of respective cultivar Shandha Rani Roy. Secondly Md. Jomil Project Coordinator of SoS project, Profulla Kumar Roy & Jannatun Fardous, Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer (SAAO) of DAE Palashbari Union discussed in detail regarding objective of the day, green pea eating beneficial effect on human body, nutrition value of green pea, benefit of soil and environment cultivating green pea etc. Finally green pea cultivar Shandha Rani Roy shared result. Mina Rani president of Nrishing Bogurapara youth group expressed her opinion that green pea are cultivate easily and relatively as a new crop we all can cultivate green pea in small scale for consumption. Most of the participants were inspired and motivated to cultivate green in next season. This activity will take part slightly to achieve climate action Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
