Young people were organized a dialogue among union parishad election chairman candidate, Civil society and young people on election manifesto supported by Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) and ActionAid Bangladesh at Sunmoon Kinder Garten yard, Chilahati, Domar, Nilphamari on 25 March’2021. There were 61 people participated among them chairman candidate, civil society representative, media person and young people are 24, 12, 5 and 10 respectively of four unions. 10 female & 51 male were among 61 participants. Md Lutful Karim, Retired Lecturer-Einglish; Abdul Kader Ahmmed, Retired Lecturer-Bengali, Chilahati Government College, Domar, Nilphamari and Alauddin Ali, Executive Director of Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS), Nilphamari were present as guest in this dialogue.
Objectives of the event:
Young people are developed an election manifesto with collecting community demands through 12 FGD under Bamunia, Gomnati, Ketkibari and Bhogdaburi union and they expect all candidate will declare written manifesto before election to ful fill community demand. So young people of Bamunia, Gomnati, Ketkibari and Bhogdaburi union’s organized such election dialogue. Azmira Jahan Dristy, youth volunteer present youth led manifesto in the dialogue. After the presenting manifesto, election candidate were speech gradually on their own manifesto and commitment. Niyaz Morshed, Chairman Candidate of Bhogdaburi Union Parishad said I have accepted your manifesto and also expect to organize such dialogue at open space to mass community people. I would like to declare my manifesto to community people.
