Two days long Eco & Seed fair started from 27 January 2016 at Akaluganj Bazar Laxmichap union Nilphamari sador upazila. Fair inaugurated by agriculturist Keramot Ali, upazila Agricultural Officer, Nilphamari. Welcome speech was delivered by Alauddin Ali, Executive Director, USS and presided over the ceremony Md. Aminur Rahaman, Chairman, Laxmichap union. 200 female farmers with local civil society member and adolescents was present in this session. 10 stall were opened by the name Varmi Compost, Model House, Jarm Plazom, Liqued Maniur, Community Dhan Bank, Pre-school, Gender Equality, Organic Vegetable sell Center etc. A cultural show was performed by local drama team `Shuchona Shanskritic Sangh’ on environment. Fair organized by USS, Nilphamari and Supported by USC-Canada.
