Campaign on reduce child marriage which was held on 12 March , 2015 at Gosaigonj School & Collage ground in Vogdaburi union of Domar upazilla under Nilphamari district. Mr Hafizur Rahman Bakul, was present as a President of this events. The objective of the program was that to create awareness among the guardian on harmful side of child marriage. The program was very colorful because the stage and pan dell were decorated by 21 loss of child marriage related poster. Initially every participant sign in NO FOR CHILD MARRIAGE on cloth. Mr. Jagodish chandro Roy, principle, chilahati government collage was present as chief guest and Mr. Abu Taher, Chairman, Vogdaburi Union Parishad was special guest in the program. Besides Mr.Razu, Principle Gosaigonj School & Collage Abdul kuddus sarkar, Coordinator-education, USS, Nilphmari, Kaykobad Hossain Project coordinator, USS, Chilahati,Merry Begum, UP member,Vogdabur Union ,Faruki Akther Delower Hossain,Haridash Roy,Faruk Azom teachers of Gosaigonj School & Collage and there are more than 450 guardian was participating of this program. Mr. Faruk Azom delivered welcome speech on behalf of Gosaigonj School & Collage. Chief Guest of this event Mr. Jagodish chandro Roy said that‘‘I am very happy to participate in the program, thanks to USS and Action Aid Bangladesh for support to Gosaigonj School & collage organizes this program. I know that USS are playing active role to create awareness among the people on different type of issue. We should work with them to reduce child marriage and I would like to request the parents please take oath that we will not give child marriage, we will support to girls for completing their education. The law is not enough to reduce child marriage, we should be aware”. Special guest Abu Taher said that Parents can play active role to reduce child marriage” Haridash Ray said that‘‘Child marriage is harmful for girls, when a girl got child marriage; she suffers different type of problem and diseases”. Merry Begum said ‘‘I believe that if girls would be aware, child marriage definitely will be reducing”. Mr.Razu said‘‘we are looking 21 loss of child marriage and it is a most challenge for girls complete their education so we do not give child marriage”. The program is ending delivered by president’s speech.
