Gender Equality through Peoples Initiative (GEPI) Project under Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) has observed the International Women’s Day with active management of adolescent group members supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) at Khokhabari Government Primary School field. The International Women's Day was observed on March 8 to celebrate the women's movement and struggle for equality. According to the Women and Girls, the theme of the International Women's Day 2020 is “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women's Rights”.
The program was chaired by Md Kholilur Rohoman, head teacher of Khokshabari Government primary school. There were also present Md. Nittanonto Chatarji, Freedom Fighter & Upazila social support committee member, Atanto Biswas, UP member of Khokshabari Union Parishod, women Group members, Adolescent group members, union social support committee members and adjacent villagers of the school were present of the Rally and discussion session. Near about 250 peoples were actively participated. A colorful rally moved from Khokhabari Government Primary school field to Vujaripara, Jummapara, Khokshabari bazar and distance was almost two Kilometers round the areas. After rally discussed about objective of the day observation and the participants were express their opinion. They said that, we are much enjoyed the program and sometimes we need involved in such programs for increasing our knowledge.
