USS & Rupantar Organizd Training of Trainers (ToT) funded by Plan International Banglade at Community Learning Centre (CLC) of Jaldhaka upazila under R2PP project from 15th -20th June 2019. 24 Young girls of Jaldhaka upazila of Nilphamari district and Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat district were participated in the event. The training was conducted by Gayetree Rani Roy, Mirgonj Union of Jaldhaka Upazila. Participants received the training for protect self and deliver the training to other girls to ensure protection them in any unwanted situation. The trainer used Japanes language to operate the training. The training inaugurated by SM Abdul Quader, Child Protection Specialist, Plan International Bangladesh, Rangpur Division. He said that sexual abuses of girls are increase day by day. It will be stop. So, every girl should be taken self defense training. This training will be helpful to grow self confidence of trainee and provide support to others girls for self defense. He said participants received more attentively the training.
Md. Sujauddola, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Jaldhaka upazila was present as chief guest and Alauddin Ali, Executive Director of Udaankur Seba Sangstha (USS) also present as speacial guest in the closing day of the training. Chief Guest said that I am very happy for this activity. Girls will be confident through this training. Insufficient self defense training resource at upazila wise school for girls, so we will be increase self defense training resource. He will implement government budget to conduct this kind of training. So, he wants training plan from USS, Jaldhaka soon.
