Quarterly Follow-up Meeting with Girls Club SC Member

Plan International Bangladesh was informed to Udayankur Seba Sangstha for established Girls and Young Women Club in our working areas by sponsorship girls and young girls last year. After that USS has been working with 6 girls and 6 young girls club for create a protective and respected environment for the children and adolescents in sponsorship areas of Plan International Bangladesh like 06 union of Jaldhaka upazilla. During this period (01 to 16 September, 2021) we have already completed quarterly follow up meeting with last year girls club member.

Objective of the event:

• 120 girls club SC member will participate in 24 follow up meeting regarding CP laws, gender responsive safeguarding, child violence, life skill, child labor and 12 club leaders will play role as activist against child and youth violence.

Coverage: Total 06 quarterly follow up meeting has organized with last year girls club member at 06 Union level of Jaldhaka Upazilla under Nilphamari District during 01 to 16 September, 2021 & total 116 participants where 116 sponsorship girls (boys-0 & girls-116) and 00 sponsorship family members (male-00 & female-00) were present in these meeting.

Outcome/impact:

Immediately outcomes:

• They have makes a next quarter plan for insuring reporting &  responding within 24 hours, helpline number using, life skill sharing with others girls and to organize ward meeting etc.
• Developing their capacity on child protection mechanism & playing role as a community advocate.
• 116 Sponsorship children will gain knowledge on CP laws, gender responsive safeguarding, child violence, life skill, child labor.
