A debate competition was organized by PGELKPI of USS, Nilphamari for secondary level students in Fultola Bohumukhi high school, Nilphamari Sadar Upazila on 23th October 2017 supported by Diakonia. Two teams, each consisting 4 debaters, performed their arts of logic on the stage. 300 students were present in the gallery.
The subject of the debate was – “ Not law, Awareness plays main role to stop Violence against Women.”
Md. Alhaz Shajahan Ali,Chaiman,Kundupukur union,Nilphamari, Md.Gaziur Rhaman, Academic Supervisor,Sadar Nilphamari, Kandoker Ashraful Islam, Program Director,VAB Bangladesh, Alauddin Ali, Executive Director of USS, Md.Mazharul Islam, Program Officer, Diakonia Bangladesh , Md.Ziarul Islam,Md. Mahir Uddin member of SMC Fultola Bohumukhi high school was present as guest at the debate competition. Event was presided by Md. Mojibul Islam, Head Teacher, Fultola bohumukhi high school.
Uttom Kumer Roy, Head Teacher, Palashbari girls shhool was present as Moderator of the debate. Md. Zoaud Ali, Babul Roy Assistants Teacher, Fultola Bohumukhi high school, Salma Akter, Gender development Officer of PGELKPI project of USS was in the judge panel.
Besides, Kuddus Sarker, Coordinator M&E of USS, Shahnaz Begum, Project Coordinator of PGELKPI project of USS also attended the program.
