District Child Welfare Board has arranged a meeting supported by Plan International Bangladesh and Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) at DC conference room of Lalmonirhat district on 28 December’2020. Abu Zafor DC of Lalmonirhat was present as chaired in the meeting. Rafiqul Islam ADC (General), Abdul Matin DD Social Service Office, Mohtasim Billah AD Social Service Office, Dr. NIrmalendu Roy Civil Sergon, Kishor Kumer Nag Jail Super, Shuvash Barman Education Officer and other member were present in the meeting. Two district child representative ( Mridul & Nowshin Narhar Obonti) and two union child & youth network representative (Shaiatul Kobra Shila & Farhad Hossain), Jomil Project Coordinator of USS, Ziaur Rahman M&E Coordinator of USS, Abdur Rahim Field Coordinator of USS, Bakul Chandra Roy Technical Officer(TfD) of USS also present in the meeting. Farhad Hossain Union child and youth network representative has discussed present situation of child protection specially child marriage. DC said Lalmonirhat has declared child marriage free district where as child marriage continued. DC informs to USS and union child & youth network to inform him regarding child marriage detail information for prevent child marriage and case filing for punishment.
