A team came leading of Rezaul Karim Siddique from BTV at Palashbari Masterpara farmers group arrange of Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) of Nilphamari district on 18th April’2019 to cover Alternative Wetting and Drying (AWD) of boro rice story and capture it into videos. The team picked information from farmers, Shallow Tube Well Owners and other stakeholders through vedio, how they are conducting AWD activities. The team has taken response from farmers who are cultivating boro rice following AWD, Shallow tube well owner and how both they are benefiting. How are disseminating the AWD technology through North West Focal Area Network leaded by RDRS Bangladesh and supported by IRRI. Why farmers and Shallow Tube Well Owners are adapting the technology. It is profitable both farmers and Shallow tube well owner. The technology is very much important to save under ground water, soil health and environment. The technology is playing role to achieve SDG 13 (Climate Action).
