Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) is going to recruit the flowing position for the project of“Action for Impact (a4i)” at Nilphamari District, supported by Action Aid Bangladesh.

 Position: Project Coordinator (PC) (01)

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for overall implementation of the project activities in the working area. S/He will act as the key person to guide the field team. She/He will responsible for planning, budgeting, implementing, and monitoring of the project including management of financial and human resources. S/He needs to ensure that the staffs focus on the capacity development of the target groups in order to achieve Quality youth and gender responsive public services and Participatory democracy and youth representation at local level to national level. S/He will keep close contact with USS and Donor management Prepare monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual report stating major findings and observations and submit to the respective authority.
  • Provide accompaniment support to make the team members more confident in order to facilitate different events at community level to district level facilitate the participatory monitoring process at community level..
  • Maintain liaison with governmental officials as well as with donors.
  • Ensure the policy of financial guideline for procurement of materials and equipment needed for project implementation. Provide oversight for the maintenance and proper use of all kinds of project materials and resources.
  • Support to external & internal audit teams on financial activities of project.
  • Conduct the performance appraisal process for the project staffs.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Master Degree from any reputed University / Institution. 
  • Minimum 5 (Five) years of practical experiences in development activities especially youth development through right based approach.
  •  Should have sound knowledge Human Rights Based Approach ( HRBA)  and have clearer understanding on   participatory democratic Space for youth and social cohesion, Gender Responsive Public Services  (GRPS) and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh(SRHR).
  •  Should have skill to prepare the documents/ concept note on public service accountability issue and electoral manifestos of major political parties from youth perspective.
  • Should have skills of speaking and report writing in English & Bangla
  • Computer skills on Microsoft Office Package.
  • Experience on used of various type monitoring tools for impact assessment.  
  • Willing to drive motor cycle and should have valid driving license.
  • Age Limit:  40 years (Can be relaxed for highly experienced candidates)  

Salary Range

  • Ensure gender mainstreaming across all activities of USS projects and programs
  • Collaborate on gender analysis of gender relations and develop gender-sensitive messaging and training materials
  • Work with Gender Mainstreaming and Women`s Empowerment and deliver trainings on gender-sensitive for target community as well project/program stakes.
  • Provide support for BCC activities including trainings, and community campaigns that promote positive images of women as decision makers in their household

  • Collaborate with local women`s groups, gender-focused organizations and institutions and other local or international groups that are implementing similar gender-related activities in similar areas

USS is going to recruit the following positions for the project of "Community development and Monga mitigation for the Poor Upgrading Social Capital (CAMPUS) at Domar Upazila under Nilphamari District supported by AAB.

1. Position : Deputy Project Coordinator (DPC)

Key responsibilities:

Operationalize fiscal governance project

  • Operationalize fiscal governance activities in field level to national level. The core areas of work includes capacity building of local government,  raising voice of the women, youth, excluded and marginalized; decentralization of power, democratization of budget, advocating for pro poor taxation & tax policy and people’s participation in national development process.
  • Prepare field level operational plan/annual plans and budget for the fiscal governance program in consultation with project coordinator (PC) and project coordination committee.

Research, Advocacy and Campaign

  • Formulate advocacy agenda based on the project interventions and undertake advocacy actions at the local level;
  • Formulate campaign design/plan and provide technical support to the members of LRP;
  • Prepare periodic reports
  • Documentation and sharing of project activities 
  • Operationalize survey and research works at project area

Create Linkage, Alternatives, Innovations and Promotion

  • Innovate ideas; generate new knowledge based on the field experience.
  • Articulation of grassroots realities through reflection-action process, documentation of policy demand at the LRP level for promotion and up calling;

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  •  Post Graduate from any reputed University/ Institution ( Post graduate  of Commerce is preferable ) 
  • Minimum 3 (three) years of practical experiences on governance project & prepared the various type reports.

2. Position:  Child Development & Sponsorship Officer (CDSO).

Key responsibilities:

  • Capasity building of 1000 no’s of childrens on education, rights, enhancing social capital through providing technical support to the Community Education Facilitator (CEF).
  • Capasity building of Community Journalist Groups.
  • Maintaining sponsorship communication with AAB according to the guidline.
  • Strenghthening the 15 no’s of SMC of government primary schools.
  • Capasity building of CEF through providing training, conducting workshop, sharing meeting, distributing reosurces materials and directly facilitating circles/loko kendra. Providing technical support and accesing government institutions.

  • Should have valid motorcycle driving license.
  • Computer skills on Microsoft Office Package.

Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) in long term partnership with Action Aid Bangladesh (AAB) is going to recruit the following positions for the project of "Community development and Monga mitigation for the Poor Upgrading Social Capital (CAMPUS) at Domar Upazila under Nilphamari District.

Finance Accounts and Amine Officer (FAAO)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual budget  according to the plan and donor guideline
  • Providing fund to the necessary activities and line item maintain line with approved budget.
  • Providing administrative support to the project.
  • Maintaining official, equipment, stock, personnel files and furniture fixture.
  • Ensuring fund collection according to the plan from donor.
  • Reporting as per plan and required by donor.
  • Providing support to external and internal audit.
  • Maintain books of account prepared statement such as monthly, quarterly & yearly.
  • Ensure government Tax & VAT collection and provide to government account.
  • Prepare balance sheet and ratio analysis of the project/ organization.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Graduate in commerce (B.Com) from any reputed University / Institution. 
  • Minimum 3 (three) years of practical experiences on prepared the various type of Financial reports.
  • Should have skills of speaking and report writing in English & Bangla
  • Computer skills on Microsoft Office Package.
