Event on COVID 19 initiatives

Corona virus has become an epidemic in the present world. Although the virus infection began in China, now almost all countries of the world have been infected with very little time. Developing countries around the world are dying to reduce the spread of the virus. This is an even bigger challenge for developing countries like Bangladesh. Therefore, District Youth Network took various initiative with support of Udayankur  Seba Sangstha  (USS) and ActionAid Bangladesh. The initiatives are:

  • Formation of the Emergency Response Team
  • Open hand wash system in  public place
  • Market campaign to maintain safe distance during marketing
  • Germicide spray in 5 union
  • Distribution of awareness leaflets and posters
  • Promote awareness massage  through social media and
  • Miking

District Youth Network members started working on the above programs from March 25, 2020, after the COVID19 patient was diagnosed in Bangladesh. So far, in 5 union’s 11 hand washing point opened at public place, Germicide spray in 5 unions, Bazar campaign on distance maintain, leaflets and posters distributed in 5 unions and miking. All these activities will continue in support with the Union Parshad, said representatives of the concerned Union Parishad. Also at this moment, the youth are playing a role in tackling the overall situation of the area by bringing together people from all parties.
