Gender Equality through Peoples Initiative (GEPI) Project of USS arranged Staff Training supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) at USS Head Office conference room from 23-24 April’2019. This training will help the project implement and to achieve gender equality through practicing different activities at family, society and organization. The GEPI project staffs were attended and took actively participations in the training. Female 5 and male 4 were among total participants in the training. Md. Alauddin Ali ED of USS delivered welcome speech and inaugurated of the training.
Discussed topic of the training were- Aim, Objective and values of USS; sex and gender, socialization, patriarchy, gender discriminations, gender need, gender equality & equity, gender awareness, role of productive, reproductive and social role, position and condition of women in family & society at present, violence, type of violence, causes & effect of violence against women, mainstreaming of gender, women rights, human rights, basic rights, women empowerment and different women rights policy and USS Gender Policy, SDG etc. The training was facilitated by Alauddin Ali ED of USS, Jharna Roy PC- GEPI project, Salma Akter- GDO of USS, Md. Jomil- Coordinator of M&E of USS. The training was conducting in participatory way and attractively.
