District Level Child Parliament-2016 held in Nilphamari

District level Child Parliament-2016 held in Nilphamari district dated on 13^th April, 2016 in conference room of DC Office, Nilphamari. This is first Child Parliament in Nilphamari district arranged by District Administration with the support of USS, Nilphamari and Plan International Bangladesh. 25 Parliament Members (MP) represented from different upazilas of Nilphamari district. In the Child Parliament2016 session Md. Faisal Rabbi Rakib played role of Speaker and Tripti Roy as Deputy Speaker. Child Parliament was started with national song of Bangladesh and all Child Parliament Members as well audiences joined and respected national song. Alauddin Ali, executive director of USS delivered welcome speech in the child parliament session. During his speeches he welcomed all the audiences and members of child parliament to make the session successful in order to establish the rights of the children. After finishing the welcome speeches Child Parliament-2016 started which is the great expectation of the audiences of Nilphamari. Theme of the Child Parliament-2016 was “Child Marriage & misuse of Modern Technology”. Parliament members presented their speeches on the theme which they have had ground works for last three months. Children selected these two issues and physically interviewed 25 respective cadres so that they can present a real situation regarding child marriage & misuse of modern technology in the child parliament session. In the point of ordered Child Parliament Members presented the issue with lots of information and numeric. Md. Zakir Hossain, District Commissioner of Nilphamari was present as chief gust in the Child Parliament-3016.  Among the other special guests were Abu Maruf  Hossain, Aditional SP, Nilphamari, Md. Sabet Ali, UNO. Nilphamari Sadar upazila, Abdul Kuddus, Regional Divisional Manager, Rangpur district, Plan International Bangladesh, President of Chambers and commerce of Nilphamari district, Dilip Kumar Banik, Primary education officer of Nilphamari district, Md. Mostak Ahmed, Distrcit child affairs officer, Nilphamari, Hafizul Islam Monju, UP chairman of Itakhola union, Md. Aminur Rahman, UP chairman of Luxmichap union, civil society representatives, guardians, NCTF members and girls and young women members attended in the child parliament session. Following the child parliament-2016 some important quotations are stated as below:
