Inter-school science fair- 2015 has been held in Nilphamari with a goal to make the secondary level students interested in science by creating opportunities for practicing science and thus by removing fear about science and to gradually increase the number of students in science group. The fair was held al Nilphamari Adorsho High School field on 8th October, 2015 implemented by Udayankur Seba Sangstha and supported by Bangladesh Freedom Foundation-BFF. Science clubs of students from 30 schools participated in the fair.
Md. Shofiqul Islam, District Education Officer, Nilphamari was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the fair. Md. Ahmed Ahsan Habib, Upazilla Secondary Education Officer and Alauddin Ali, Executive Director, USS, Nilphamari were present as special guests. At the end of the day, Md. Momtajul Haque, Administrator, Zilla Porishod, Nilphamari was present as the chief guest at the prize giving and closing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Mamtajul Islam Mintu, President, Nilphamari Adorsho High School. Little scientists from 30 schools presented their projects at the fair. Shonaray Songolshi High School achieved the first position. Kanialkhata Di-mukhi High School took the 2nd ,Nilphamari Adorsho High School took the 3rd and Chararpar High School took the 4th position. They were awarded specially for their achievements. Besides other participant schools were provided with wishing awards.
