Democratic budget movement committee, Nilphamari has organized the roundtable discussion on Democratic budget movement issue on 8th December 2014 in MuktiJadda Conference hall of Nilphamari District head quarter. The objective of this program is to build common understanding among the community people and civil society representative. Welcome Speech was from the Executive Director of USS –Nilphamari Mr Alauddin Ali. He has described the role & responsibility of USS on the issue of Democratic budget movement in Future journey. Advocate Momtazul Hoque, Administrator of Zila parisad in Nilphamari has present as chief guest & Mr Abdur Razzak Basunia, Upazila Chairman, Domar, Mr Abujar Rahman, Upazila Chairman, Nilphamari Sadar was present as special guest and 20 union parisad chairman, Prncipal, Head Teacher and reporter of print & electronic media and members other civil society were present as participants . Most of the participants views are this is very much more needed to the district like Nilphamari . The chief guest addressed in his speech, it is very important, our government has been agreed with the demand of district budget now create the presser through people led movement. Local government like union , Upazila & Zila parisad will really be powerful if they can get their own budget and this was also in the manifesto of ruling party – Mr Abdur Razzak Basunia, Upazila Chairman, Domar said. The chair of the program & Convener Nasima Begum said that they are continuing the movement through human chain & Policy dialogue with different stockholders & she thanks to all for participating & contributing the efforts to the program successful.
