For the first time upazila open budget declaration ceremony arranged by Jaldhaka upazila parishad dated on 21st June, 2016 with the support of Udyankur Seba Sangstha (USS) and Plan International Bangladesh at upazila premises. Alhaz Said Ali, Chairman, Upazila Parishad, Jaldhaka, Nilphamari was present as chief guest and Md. Hasan Habib, UNO of Jaldhaka presided over in the program. Special guests were Md. Abdul Quddus, Divisional Manager, Plan International Bangladesh, Rangpur Division, Md. Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Jaldhaka, Alauddin Ali, Executive Director, USS, Nilphamari, Riva Amzad, vice chairman, upazila paishad, Jaldhaka, Elius Hossain Bablu, Former Poura Mayor, Jaldhaka, Mahabub Hossain Lenin, Upazila health and family planning officer, Monimun Akter, upazila Social welfare officer, Md. Shamim Zahid Talukdar, upazila women affair officer. Political representatives, UP chairmen and members, chief of the head of upazila based government departments, civil society representatives, Child and youth forums representatives, NGO representatives were present in the open budget declaration ceremony. The program started at 12.30 PM with welcome speeches of Md. Hasan Habib, UNO, Jaldhaka. After presenting the budget 2016-2017 an open discussion session was held where participants inquired and asked questions on the budget. As it was arranged for the first time participants were very much active and participated fully in the program. 1 crore 13 lacs taka were declared for the year of 2016-2017 for Jaldhaka upazila. In the open budget declaration ceremony 350 participants attended in the program and thanked USS and Plan International Bangladesh for supporting to arrange upazila open budget declaration ceremony.
