USS has arranged a debate competition on the theme of “Awareness is major to prevention Violence against Women and child, not law.” under Gender Equality through Peoples Initiative (GEPI) Project supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) at Kittiniapara Di-Mukhi High School, Gorgram, Nilphamari on 03 February 2020. Students of two schools participated in this debate. Khokshabari Moniruddin high school participated in favor of the topic.
Objectives of the program:
The program was chaired by Md. Ruhul Amin Shah, Assistant head teacher of Kittiniapara Di-Mukhi High School, Gorgram. There was also present Mst. Masuda Akter Mini, UP member of Gorgram Union, Md. Abdul Kuddus Sarker, Education coordinator of USS, Jharna Rani Roy, project coordinator of GEPI project of USS, Joy Sankor Roy, Assistant teacher of Khokshabari M.U. High School and all the teachers of Kittiniapara Di-Mukhi High School. All the debaters participated lively with logic. The debaters were presented excellent example about the determined topic. The two groups tried by showing their logic in that debating competition. There were present almost 200 students and teachers of the program. All audiences enjoyed the debate competition. Finally the adversary group won in that competition. Abu Sayed is a student of class ten of Kittiniapara Di-Mukhi High School who was selected as champion speaker from adversary group.
After debate competition judge and audience students gave opinion regarding the debate. Then the Prizes were given to the debaters of the both groups and extra pries was given to the champion speaker and the trophy was given to the winner group. At last program president Md.Ruhul Amin was thanked to USS and declared the end of the debate competition.
