Government Ownership is Increasing Regarding Child Protection Group (CPG) Meeting

Md. Hasan Habib, UNO of Jaldhaka upazila attending union level child protection group (CPG) meeting with his own initiatives. By this time he already attended three CPG meetings and listen the progress and questions of the committee members as well as children of the respective union. Lastly dated on 10th June, 2105 he attended in Mirganj union CPG committee meeting. All wards committee members of CPG group from Mirganj union parishads were present in the meeting. “ I want to active all CPG meeting that is formed by USS and Plan international Bangladesh in Jaldhaka upazila so that no child marriage, child lobor and dropped out can be occurred here. For this reason I want to attend regularly in those meeting and want to hear the progress and the plan for the next course of action”. In the meeting Lotifa Aketr member of girl and young women forum requested that, “ if we face any problem regarding stop child marriage what of support we may hope from upazila administration?”

In the answer of the question UNO said that, If you let me know I myself will come to the places to protect the events and safe you. Unfortunately if I am not available in my station I will send law enforcement so that you may not have the guilty”. About one hour there was questions and answers session between CPG members and the girls and young women. I have never seen such kind of face to face questions and answer sessions in the CPG committee where UNO of respective upazila is present and anawersing all the questions of the audiences. I am very much pleased to see the meeting process” Md. Rahidul Islam, PC-POVC, Plan International Bangladesh, Nilphamri unit expressed feelings in his speeches. The CPG meeting was chaired by Md. Monjurul Alom Chowdhory, Chairman of Mirganj union parishad and also chairman of CPG. In the quarterly CPG meeting 77 members from all wards attended in the meeting. Finally UNO thanked USS and girl power project (GPP) to working for the wellbeing of the children and girls and young women.
