Integrated Sponsorship Funded Project (ISFP) under Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) has arranged a dialogue among government service providers, Youth, religious leader, local government elected members and community elite supported by Plan International Bangladesh at Upazilla porishod hall room, Hatibandha, Lalmonirhat on 26 May’2022.
Objective of the event:
​ Program is chaired by Md. Najir Hossain, UNO of Hatibandha upazila. He has replied the open discussion questionnaires for child protection.Upazilla Parishad Chairman, Mosiur Rahman Mamun addressed the function as a chief guest. He has addressing the parent’s awareness and rule of laws.
Dr.Hrishikesh Sarker, Program manager- Central & Northern region program, Plan International Bangladesh has said that if girls want to stop her child marriage, it will insure.
Alauddin Ali, Executive Director of USS, Upazilla social welfare officer, upazila women affairs officer, Officers in Charge were present as special guests. UP chairman, youth, Religion leader, local elite, media representatives were also present in the dialogue. Total 80 participants were present among of them 28 female and 52 male.
At the beginning of the dialogue a youth was presented a report regarding causes of child marriage, child marriage technique, negative effect of child marriage of respective union of Hatibandha Upazilla. After presentation an open discussion continued where many youth including Marriage registrarer, UP Chairman participant want to know from guests that how to stop child marriage. The program was conducted questioned and replied through open discussion for improvement of service.
An award giving program was organized before closing session and 13 youth champion was received award for their initiatives about child protection. Md. Najir Hossain, UNO of Hatibandha upazila gave closing speech, he also thanks to USS and Plan International bangladesh for organizing the dialogue program.
