Open budget session held at Shimulbari union

Today dated on 5th June, 2016 open budget session arranged by union parishad of Shimulbari union under Jaldhaka upazila with the support of Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) and Plan International Bangladesh. The venue was taken place in the field of union parishad Shimulbari. Md. Mominur Rashid Saker was presided over in the session. Special guests were newly elected chairman of Shimulbari union Md. Hamidul Houque, Md. Lutfor Rahman, BSC retired teacher of Jaldhaka Pailot High School, Md. Aminur Rahman, retired head teacher of Shimulbari Primary school, newly elected UP members and civil society representatives. The open budget session was facilitated by Khirat Ch. Roy, Secretary of Shimulbari union parishad. In the open discussion program 300 people participated actively and shared their opinions regarding development of the unions and next budget. Child and youth forum representatives were participated in the open budget discussion session and expressed their opinions and suggestions. Shirin Akter President of upazila child forum Jaldhaka said that “When a girl is become victim she could not say anything to her parents or any of her friends. So if the victims are helped financially of goods through UP, they can stand and lead a normal life” Newly elected chairman Md. Hamidul Houque emphasized the recommendations and assured to keep budget for the purpose including stop child marriage and child friendly environment.
