USS has provided fellowship to young journalist maintaining social distance during corona pandemic supported by Actionaid Bangladeh at USS conference room, Nilphamari on 25 June, 2020. The program was chaired by Mr. Md Sarwar Manik, Ex. Principal of Moshiur Rahman College, Nilphamari. Mr. Tahmid Haque Boby, District representative of The Daily Jonokontho, Nilphamari; Mr. Mir Mahmudul Hasan Astak, The Daily Prothom Alo- District representative and Bhuban Roy Nikhil, The Daily Kaler Kantho, District Representative were present of the occasion. USS has provided fellowship to 5 young journalist in 2020. They are Md Milladur Rahman Mamun, District report of The Daily Kortoya; Alif Nura Rini, District reporter of DDC news; Shish Rahman, Editor and Publisher of the Daily Nilphamari Barta; Imzamum-Ul-Haque Nirnoy, District reporter of the Uttorbangla.com and Bijoy Chokraborty Kajol, District reporter of The Daily Desh Rupantor. The young Journalists has shared their experience of field level research. They has find out community health services present quality, social safety net program, young people participation in decision making structure, livelihood of horijon in the fellowship report. The President of the meeting thanked to the journalists and encouraged them to create such reports. In addition, he gave advice on sharing the published reports with related department.
