Capacity Development Training (Gender)

Gender training has held under Promoting Gender Equality through Local Knowledge and Peoples Initiative (PGELKPI) project funded by Dikonia at USS Head Office hall room from 2-3 October’2018 to reduce physical and mental discrimination and earning equality between male and female at family, society level and country. Total 25 participants from Executive Committee members of USS, Nari Jogajag Kendra (NJK) and USS staffs were attended and took actively participations in the training. Female 11 and male 14 were among total participants in the training. Alauddin Ali ED of USS delivered welcome speech and inaugurated the training. The discussed topic are-Development, sex and gender,  Socialization, Gender discriminations, gender need,  Role of productive, reproductive and social role, Division of labour, Position and status of women in family & society at present, Violence, type of violence, causes & effect of violence against women, mainstreaming of gender, gender monitoring, Women empowerment and Initiative to earning gender equality

Interactive lecture and memorable event sharing methods were used to make the sessions attractive and participatory in the training. All participants were committed to established gender equality through practicing different activities in their family, society and organization. The training was facilitated by Shaheen Rahman, Consultant of Gender & Human Rights.
